Create a PROJECT object.

What You Need

• Install the Project Management application, which contains the PROJECT object.

To create a new project:

1. Click the Projects tab
2. Click the [New Project] button
3. Complete the fields in the Project Information section

   Project Name

   Name of the Project

   Type

   Choose either Internal or External (clients)

   Description

   Description of the Project

   Estimated Start Date

   Date you expect the project to start

   Estimated End Date

   Date you expect the project to end

   Project Status

   Choose an option from the picklist

   Priority

   Choose an option from the picklist

   Description

   Project Description

4. Click [Save] to save the new project, or click [Save & New] to save this project and create a new one.

A confirmation message appears on the Project details page, which includes the information you added, as well as calculated fields and Related Information.
