New REST Resources for Customer Support

These new login resources help an ISV or MSP provide better customer support.

login/customerSupport
Login to a client tenancy as the "Customer Support" user, with system admin privileges.
login/proxyLogin
Permissions permitting, login to a client tenancy as a user in that tenancy, in order to review and/or fix the environment in which the customer is having problems.
login/switchBack
A fast way for a customer support rep to get back to their original session. After having logged in to another tenancy using either customerSupport or proxyLogin, this URL restores their original session, so they don't have to log out of the customer's tenancy and then log in all over again.

New Governance Fields in REST tenantCapabilities Resource

Update Tenant Capabilities
Four new fields are required to update a tenant's capabilities:
  • governance_tenant_level_on
  • governance_tenant_level_string_size
  • governance_tenant_level_statement_count
  • governance_tenant_level_cpu_time

Deprecated Functionality

  • Test drive functionality for packages has been retired.
  • The 'Use Stationery and Layout Wizard' has been removed, when creating email templates, as better templates can be created using external tools.
  • When AppCenter is enabled, the Customize option is now a link in the action bar, where it is more easily accessed. (It is no longer at the bottom of the More Actions list.)
  • The alphabetical search option has been removed from tree views.
