Vertical Response Configuration

From LongJump Support Wiki

An option is available as an option in Email Campaign Integration with Vertical Response.

How it Works

Email campaigns managed with Vertical Response use the following process:

LongJump Platform Actions

  1. Verify that a sub account exists for the current MSP
    • If no sub account exists, a sub account for the MSP is created using the ISV Master Account
Learn more: Configure Credentials in Vertical Response
  2. Login to Vertical Response using the sub account credentials
  3. Send campaign details to the Vertical Response service
  4. Deduct email credits from the sub account
    • If email credits are insufficient, then no further processing occurs
Learn more: Manage Email Credits with Vertical Response
    • The user should contact the ISV and request additional email credits, so the ISV can then transfer email credits to the sub account (from the ISV Vertical Response account, via the Vertical Response website)
  5. Display processing status in the Campaigns Queue in Monitor

Vertical Response Actions

  1. Verify email addresses (excludes users who have unsubscribed or who have invalid email addresses)
  2. Send an email notification with statistics for number of emails that is sent / number of emails not sent
  3. Run the campaign
  4. Report campaign metrics

Configure Credentials in Vertical Response

This is a one-time process, required when the ISP opts to provide Vertical Response Integration as a feature in the LongJump Platform.

  1. Acquire a Partner Account from Vertical Response
    • This account is known as the Master account in the LongJump Platform, and is used to create sub accounts for each Tenant that opts to use Vertical Response integration for email marketing campaigns
    • Vertical Response master account must be unlocked
  2. Acquire a certificate file (.p12) from Vertical Response
  3. Place the file in the <longjump_tomcat_home>/conf/RN/partner_account/ folder, and name it vrintegration.p12

About Sub Accounts

The credentials defined in Marketing Campaign Email Configuration are created as a Vertical Response Master Account, and are used to create a sub accounts for the Tenant/MSP email campaigns

Considerations
  • The sub account setup/information is transparent to the Tenant/MSP
  • For successive campaigns from the same Tenant/MSP, the sub account details are saved and used again
